Who we are...
Jodie Chase established Chase Ecological in 1982 after two years as a Wildlife Biologist with U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Forest Service. Since then, the firm has provided ecological and wetland consulting services to the private sector, municipal, state and federal regulatory agencies. Chase Ecological is a team of environmental professionals including wetland scientists, soil scientists, wildlife and aquatic biologists, plant ecologists and herpetologists.
Ms. Chase received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut in Natural Resource Conservation with concentrations in wildlife, fisheries and forestry and a Master of Arts degree from Connecticut College in Wetland Ecology.
Ms Chase is a Certified Ecologist, Certified Professional in Soil Erosion and Sediment Control, and is also certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Habitat Evaluation Procedures.
Ms. Chase is a former board member of the Connecticut Association of Conservation and Inland Wetland Commissions (CACIWC) and former chair of the Town of Deep River, CT Conservation and Inland Wetlands Commission.
